At our core, we are a family who lives and breathes food. My name is Earl Kauffman and we didn’t start Chef Grade Supply just to sell barbecue accessories to the occasional weekend hobbyist. We built this business for people like us—people who view cooking as a true craft, one that is worth doing properly.

Before we ever outfitted an outdoor kitchen, our lives were deeply rooted in agriculture. Through years of hands-on production, sales, and marketing, we have been intimately involved in every single step of the food journey.
We've been proud to have our hands in the dirt across the entire spectrum of growing:
- Cultivating field crops like corn, oats, barley and wheat.
- Supporting national brands to grow premium orchard fruits.
- Nurturing farm-to-table herbs like fresh basil, thyme, parsley and sage for our own dinners.

Industry Experience Meets Backyard Passion
Before founding Chef Grade Supply, we spent years working alongside national retailers in the outdoor garden and kitchen space. We sold and supported everything from lawn care and gardening to commercial production products, and we got our hands dirty using barbecue, gas, and electric grills, smokers, and ovens.
That experience showed us a clear gap in the market. Serious outdoor cooks didn't have a middle ground—they were caught between navigating industrial suppliers meant only for restaurants, or buying mass-produced backyard equipment that wasn't built to last.
